Introduction

The Joint Aviation Requirements (JARs) require that an applicant for the issue of the first Type Rating for a Multi-pilot aeroplane in a professional pilot’s licence must hold a certificate of satisfactory completion of an Approved Multi Crew Co-operation Course.

Training Syllabus

The intention of the course is to introduce newly qualified and relatively inexperienced pilots to the concept of two pilot operations of a modern heavy jet aeroplane in the European airways environment. The syllabus is in excess of the minimum requirements and is dedicated to high quality training. The course is spread over a period of eight days and includes 25 hours (three days) of formal ground instruction covering the JAR syllabus (1.261) and 20 hours (five days) of dual synthetic flight instruction. The synthetic flight instruction is conducted by highly experienced ex-airline training captains on an Alsim MCC full flight simulator.

Note: the price is based upon two pilots undertaking the course at the same time. Payment terms. £200 deposit upon course booking. Balance during the training.
