Pre-entry Requirements

Before commencing the MCCI Course applicants must have both of the following:

  1. Hold or have held a Professional Pilot’s Licence issued by a JAR Member State, or hold a non-JAR Professional Licence acceptable to the Authority.
  2. Have at least 1500 hours flying experience as Pilot on Multi-Pilot Flight Operations.

Training Syllabus

The intention of the course is to train applicants to the level of proficiency necessary for the issue of an MCC Instructors Rating.
The course is divided into 2 parts:

Phase 1 - The teaching and learning core course.
Phase 2 - Technical training and Simulation.

Phase 1 requires 25 hours and lasts for 3 days, and is required by all applicants who do not hold an Instructor Rating. Those applicants who hold or have held an acceptable rating are exempted from this Phase 1.

Phase 2 requires 24 hours of technical training, and 4 hours of simulator training and lasts 5 days. This training will take place using an Alsim full flight simulator.

Phase 1 - 3 days. Phase 2 - 5 days
