Pre-entry Requirements

1. Hold a current aeroplane Instructor Rating
2. Hold a current Multi-engine Rating of the same class as that to be instructed on
3. Have a total of 500 hours flight time
4. Have 30 hours as PIC on the applicable type or class, 10 hours of which have been in the last 12 months

Training Syllabus

The syllabus to be followed is based on the AOPA Flying Instructor Course Manual.

• 5 hours minimum flight training
• 20 hours minimum of Ground School charged. 5 hours home study
• Pass a Skills Test with an FIE (approximately 2 hours)

Full time approximately 7 working days - weather dependent
